For large homes we may need to offer a quote based on linear metres of gutters
Our minimum call out fee is £60.
Above we have given a guide to the cost of having your gutters cleaned out based on property type. The basic part of the fee covers the travel time to and from your property and also the setup of the gutter vac and the other equipment. This set up time is obviously the same no matter what size your house is.
Factors that increase the time it takes to empty your gutters property include: how much linear metre of gutters you have, the height of the gutters, 1st, 2nd or 3rd floor. How full are the gutters? If you have a lot of plants growing in the gutters, this will take us much longer to clear.
If leaves are the cause of your blocked gutters, then the best time to have your gutters cleaned is late autumn, once all the leaves have fallen.
If moss from your roof is the problem, then you can have the gutters cleaned at other times of the year.
For many properties, the gutters should be emptied once a year to ensure they are kept clear and this will avoid risk of damp to your home.
The average time we take to empty your gutters is 1.5 hours. Larger properties can take much longer. If you have booked an appointment with us, it’s best to allow at least a 2 hour window, in case we run into problems that we need to sort.
Grass or plants growing in the gutters, dripping water during or after rainfall or water flowing over the edge of the gutters, the walls becoming discoloured due to water running down them e.g green marks. Also, splashback marks at ground level, damage to the pointing or brickwork, inside you house – Mould growth or water marks on your upstairs ceiling, moss on your garden paths, sagging gutters – caused by the weight of water, debris, shingle grit, moss or pine needles.
The solution? We recommend having your gutters cleaned once a year.

“Dave was a pleasure to deal with. Friendly but professional and at a fair price. I will certainly be using him again.”
“We decided to try the softwash exterior house clean from Gutter Cleaning Halberton, hoping to get rid of unsightly algae and extend the time between painting the house render – and we are very happy with the results. The house gleams again! A very professional service – right from the start when he came to quote, Dave was very knowledgeable about the merits of the separate processes of the softwash, and gave us tailored advice to suit our requirements. He was careful to advise us on when to keep the dogs out of the garden and how he would take care with our “self-cleaning” conservatory glazing.
We saw an immediate improvement on the fascias and window frames as well as the render with grime and algae stains gone. But, as Dave suggested, we also noticed a further brightening of the render a few days later as the process continued to work on the algae!
We are very happy with the results and are confident having chosen Gutter Cleaning Halberton for this work. I wish Dave every success in his business as he moves from the Honiton area to the Tiverton area.”
“Dave and his colleague carried out a thorough clean of my gutters, some of which were blocked, as well as cleaning the fascias, soffits and guttering. They even repaired two of my down pipes . They were professional, friendly and very polite. I would highly recommend this business.”
“Dave came and washed the painted exterior walls of our house, in Halberton, prior to repainting because of a build up of green algae and dark marks – obviously you can’t just paint over that. I was moaning that so much for the 15 year guarantee on the Dulux Weathershield we had used, and now we had to repaint after 6 years. Half-way through the process the house looked so clean! after the whole process and a few days later – don’t have to paint it at all – except for a touch up here and there from knocks it had had through maintenance work. RESULT !
Very friendly and obliging, unobtrusive and neat. Highly recommended.”
“Have dealt with Dave on a couple of occasions. To be honest would have no one else do the work for me, excellent job and such a nice Guy. No hesitation in recommending him.”
A very popular service we offer is cleaning of conservatory roofs. Often polycarbonate roofs look green and dirty.
We can bring them up to look bright and clean again, letting the light flood into your conservatory.
As part of the clean, we use the uPVC cleaning solution on the windows and doors as well, so once we are finished the whole conservatory is back to looking its best.
